Ian Buckley Golder, Ph.D. (Chairman)

Dr Buckley-Golder is a Chairman/Senior Independent Director/Director of a portfolio of high technology, VC-funded and Listed businesses, and seed capital VC Funds. In the life sciences sector, Dr Buckley-Golder’s experience covers such areas as drug discovery, medical sterilisation, medical imaging, orthopaedic implants and pupillometry. His international experience encompassed Board-level roles in the UK, USA and Japan. He is also a member of the UK’s Institute of Directors, and holds a Visiting Professorship in Physics at University College, London

Ed Lascelles

Ed Lascelles joined the corporate broking department of Charterhouse Securities in 1998, focusing on primary and secondary fundraisings. He worked for ING Barings advising small and medium growth companies prior to joining Close Venture Management in 2004 (now Albion Ventures LLP), one of the largest and most successful venture capital trust managers and a subsidiary of Close Brothers Group plc.

Iyad Omari

Iyad is an Investment Director at Frog Capital, a London-based investment management business specialising in European growth stage private equity investments. Before joining Frog Capital in 2006, Iyad co-led the development of a US-Swedish semiconductor venture and led the development of a wireless technology spin-out from Imperial College, London. Prior experiences include venture capital at Kennet Venture Partners, equity research at Quartz Capital Partners, and marketing at Advanced Micro Devices. Iyad holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering, an MSc in Engineering Management and an MBA from the London Business School.

Angus Whiteley

Angus is a co-founder and Managing Director of Solon Ventures, a venture capital company which focuses on UK technology and life sciences companies. Prior to co-founding Solon, he was a director of Thompson Clive & Partners, a venture capital company which invested internationally. Angus sits on the boards of Arecor Ltd, Peakdale Molecular Ltd and Prosonix Ltd in the life sciences sector, and has other board roles with technology companies. Angus holds a law degree from Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Michael J. Butler, Ph.D.

Mike is Chief Executive Officer of Xceleron. Previously President, Scientific Operations and Chief Scientific Officer with Aptuit, Mike was a member of the Aptuit-Laurus Board of Directors. Before Aptuit, he was Group Vice President at MDS Pharma Services where he managed the company’s largest operations and commercial organizations.

Ian Bedford, F.C.C.A. (Finance Director)

A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants since 1986 with a range of experience in international finance leadership from a successful venture capital backed enterprise to public companies in the UK and USA. Ian has worked for Xpedite Systems, Inc in the Data Communications industry as Chief Financial Officer, CableData International in the Enterprise Software sector as Finance Director in addition to senior finance roles in Financial Services with Next plc. Ian set-up his own consultancy business in 2004 which included an assignment as Interim Finance Director for Xceleron from May 2008 leading to him becoming Finance Director for the company in December 2009.
